Reunite Migrant Families

Mission

Our mission is to advocate for and support new and struggling immigrants, to treat each person we encounter with dignity, and offer supports needed to help them thrive and contribute to a more inclusive Dutchess County. We educate and advocate about immigration policies and continuously expand our collaborations. We are a volunteer-run organization. Grannies Respond/Abuelas Responden serves as our 501(c)3 parent organization.

What We Do

RMF works closely with community members, pastors, educators, and other partners to meet individual needs while building trust within both the immigrant communities and the community-at-large. Through donations and grants, RMF assists families with emergency rent and utility payments, educational and medical advocacy, food, clothing, essential legal forms, transportation, and other needs as they present themselves. We make referrals to other resources as we can. We educate the broader community and the communities we serve on immigration policies and “Know Your Rights” issues.
