Drake

Alex and I founded Drake Creative in 2004 because we kept hiring each other anyway.
We modeled our company after the traditional relationship between creative and art directors in the advertising and publishing business – one writer, one designer – because that’s how we learned to do things at our first job.
Yes, we have been working together since our first real job.
There we produced newspapers, around the world, usually for a week at a time. Then we’d pack up and move to the next location and assemble and direct a new team of writers, editors, designers, photographers, printers and distributors. We produced newspapers on six continents.
That first job has influenced us ever since: how we work, direct a team, even our hours. Most of all it taught us the critical importance of intelligently developed content as a driver for the ideas behind design, and that is at the core of everything we do.
